About Us
We are located in the North Burlington Medical Building on the south-west corner of Upper Middle Road and Appleby Line in Burlington Ontario Canada. We are located on the second floor directly beside the elevator, and our suite features barrier free accessibility. We share our building with various Physicians, medical specialists, a pharmacy and Coffee Culture.
As periodontists, we work with your dentist in providing care for your periodontal needs. Our clinic specializes in soft tissue grafting for gingival recession, dental implants for missing teeth, and general periodontal care. For the anxious patient or for lengthy procedures, we are certificed to provide sedation including IV and General anaesthesia.
Our Clinic
Constructed in 2012, our clinic is designed to provide all your periodontal needs in a welcoming and warm environment. We are equipped with the latest in dental chairs for your comfort, the newest sterilizers to ensure your safety and digital ‘x-rays’ to reduce radiation exposure. Our clinic includes a designated surgical operatory, a recovery room and a private consultation office.

Dr. Herman Thang, D.D.S
Dr. Herman Thang graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor degree in Science (BSc) in 2001. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Toronto in 2005, followed by an Advanced General Dentistry certificate (AGD) residency at the University of Maryland where he furthered his training in dental implant surgery. After practicing general dentistry for a year, Dr. Thang returned to the University of Toronto in 2007 and completed a Master’s degree in Periodontics (MSc.perio) specialty degree in 2010.
As a licensed periodontal specialist in Canada and a board certified periodontist in the USA, Dr. Thang is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC), as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (Dip.ABP).
Dr. Thang has been awarded the Harry Dressler Award for Clinical Excellence from the University of Maryland in 2006, the prestigous Balint Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontics in 2008, as well as other awards including the Gordon Cressy Leadership award, the University of Toronto Research Day awards in 2003 and 2008, the honour dental society Omicron Kappa Upsilon’s travel award, the Mount Sinai Hospital Bone and Mineral Research Group scholarship and the Dental Students’ Society award of Distinction.
